The end of the Design Synthesis Exercise of the Aerospace Engineering Bachelor program is finally nearing. Both teams have come up with a preliminary design for both the journey to and on the Moon. On Monday this week (June 2nd) the Delft University of Technology notified the Dutch press that it is looking for potential partners to possibly continue this project past the DSE. Immediately after the release, both teams received a lot of reactions from the press; today a small article was published in the University newspaper and both teams were invited for a studio interview on the Dutch radio show BNN Today on Monday June 2nd. The final activity that the DSE team now faces is the upcoming presentation on the DSE Symposium on June 12th. After that day, the faculty board and Space Chair-holders will decide on future activities. It is likely that the University will offer their cooperation to existing teams for example in the form of system miniaturization. As for the Lander and Rover teams, we hope the Delft University of Technology will succeed in finding a suitable partner and continue this prestigious project.
